Cameras To Be Carried By Police Personnel
The National Assembly's Interior and Defense Committee has given its approval for police officers to wear cameras attached to their uniforms while on duty in order to help them work in total transparency, which will give credibility to both the law enforcers and the alleged suspect, particularly the former, to ensure they do not abuse their power while on duty.
This arose as a result of a motion made by MP Hisham Al-Saleh in the best interests of security personnel and the general public while enacting legislation, according to a local Arabic newspaper.
