Hearing On Bribery Case Postponed

In the bribery case and money laundering case - six judges were imprisoned, two dismissed, several cars confiscated, businesspeople fined and lawyers imprisoned - the Court of Appeals has postponed the appeal hearing until next week, reports Al-Seyassah.

This decision was made because the court needed more time to summon witnesses. The four defendants who were convicted and imprisoned in the case were absent because they tested positive for Coronavirus, but all the judges involved in the case attended the session as two of them had surrendered to the court. Additionally, the media and the public were not allowed to enter the hall or assemble in front of it, only the lawyers with powers of attorney for the accused were allowed entrance.
