Brawlers Were Run Over By A Stolen Police Car
In Jahra Governorate, Kuwaiti police have arrested a number of people after a violent brawl led to one of them stealing a police car and running over another, Al Jarida newspaper reported.
Media reports stated that the Saad Al Abdullah area police station received a report about a huge brawl in the area. Police patrols arrived quickly on the scene only to find a big quarrel between several parties. An individual involved in the fight is accused of assaulting a police officer, stealing the patrol, and fleeing.
The patrol vehicle was damaged when another patrol chased down the assailant, who struck a lamppost. He was arrested, and so were most of the parties involved. All of them were Kuwaiti nationals.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, all those involved were arrested, and all parties were referred to competent authorities. In the statement, it was stated that the incident was being investigated and that appropriate legal measures would be taken.
