Barley Bags Will Be Sold For 5.25 Dinars Subsidized

04 April 2022 Business

As a result of the decision by Ali Al-Farsi, the acting director general of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources, subsidized animal feed will be made available to 'halal' breeders in the morning of Monday.

According to Farsi, the Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Ali Al-Mousa, who also supervise the authority, will succeed in reducing the selling prices of fodder on the basis of the new budget, with the approval of the Ministry of Finance to increase the subsidy to 20 million dinars, will help alleviate the suffering of breeders, protect livestock, and ensure price stability because this is fasting month and meat demand is high.

As Al-Farsi revealed, "a bag of barley will cost 5.25 dinars. Originally, it was scheduled to cost 6.4 dinars, but prior to the budget increase, it was set at 6.4 dinars." He added that "although the price is high everywhere, domestic breeders did not suffer."
