Barbecues On Hawalli Beach Remain Prohibited - Municipal Official

In a recent statement, Faisal Al-Otaibi, the Director of the Cleaning and Road Occupancy Department at Hawalli Municipality and Chairman of the Spring Camps Committee, issued a stern warning to beachgoers against engaging in barbecues. Al-Otaibi emphasized that, as of now, no official decision has been issued permitting barbecues on the beach.

Despite earlier plans by the Municipality to designate five specific spots for barbecues, this measure has not yet come into effect. The Municipality has taken steps to seek approval for beach barbecues, referring the matter to the legal department. However, the process is still underway, and until it is completed, barbecuing on the beach remains strictly prohibited.
