Bangladesh Marks 48th Versary Of Victory Day
The Embassy of Bangladesh in the State of Kuwait celebrated the 48th anniversary of the glorious Victory of Bangladesh at the Chancery. To mark this auspicious day, Charge d’Affaires, a.i, Abdul Latif Khan, Embassy of Bangladesh in Kuwait hoisted the national flag in the presence of embassy officials, officials of the Bangladesh Military Contingent (BMC), officials of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, members of the community in Kuwait including freedom fighters of Bangladesh and media representatives.
The program started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. One minute silence was observed in honor of the martyrs of the war of liberation. The Charge d’Affaires, a.i. along with other officers placed floral tributes before the portrait of the Father of the Nation. The messages of the Bangladesh President, Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister and the State Minister for Foreign Affairs were read out by officers of the Embassy.
The anchor of the program was Mohammed Anisuzzaman, Counsellor and Head of Chancery. The highlight of the discussion was participation of leaders and members of the Bangladesh community and various socio-cultural organizations.
They highlighted the significance of the day and touched upon the history of struggle for the self-determination of “our people”. In this respect, they paid highest tribute to Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, four national leaders and all martyrs.
Abdul Latif Khan in his concluding speech paid deepest homage and rich tributes to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, three million martyrs, two hundred thousand women, and all the freedom fighters for their extraordinary contributions and great sacrifices during the Liberation War in 1971
