Asian Expat Attempt To Smuggle Gold Foiled By Airport Security

Kuwait Airport security arrested an Asian expat attempting to smuggle gold jewelry out of the country during an operation. During the standard airport inspection procedure, the expatriate displayed agitated and confused behavior that raised concerns among security personnel, including signs of confusion and nervousness.

The security team launched a thorough investigation in response to these suspicions, which led to the discovery of a hidden stash of gold jewelry worth approximately 10,000 dinars. Notably, the jewelry collection featured a variety of gold shapes, suggesting a deliberate attempt to conceal the items.

A subsequent interview with the expatriate revealed that he admitted stealing his sponsor's jewelry. Thus, the authorities summoned the sponsor to directly confront the accused, and legal proceedings were initiated.
