09 March 2024 Gold

During the transit of a Bangladeshi expatriate from a Gulf country via Kuwait Airways en route to Bangladesh, airport security inspectors made a significant discovery. Pieces of gold, valued at approximately 63,000 dinars, were found in the possession of the traveler. However, as the traveler neither originated from Kuwait nor had Kuwait as their final destination, they were not subject to questioning under the law, neither by the Interior Ministry nor by Customs. Consequently, the traveler was permitted to continue their journey to their home country.

Security inspections at the airport primarily focused on searching for weapons or explosives to prevent potential terrorist acts on the plane, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew.
