Appeal Court To Deliberate On Army Fund Petition

According to the second petition submitted by defendants in the Army Fund case, the Court of Appeals will soon decide whether to consider a request for a stay of execution submitted by His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, chaired by Judge Yousef Al-Omran. The Al- Seyassah daily reports that the president and members of the First Commercial Section of the Court of Cassation have responded to the decision of the Court of Ministers to acquit the defendants.

In the past, the Court of Ministers acquitted former Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, former Minister of Interior and Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah, former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Jassar Al-Jassar, former military attaché in London Fahd Al-Baz, former military attaché in Bahrain Ali Al-Asaker, former military attaché in Lebanon Adel Al-Anzi, former Treasurer of the Army Samir Marjan, Treasurer of the Army Hamad Al-Banwan, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defense Wael Al-Fraih and a colonel.
