Appeal Court Overturns 5-year Prison Term

In the case of beating a shepherd and stealing two sheep, the Court of Appeal overturned the lower court's verdict and decided not to punish the defendants.

It was reported by the Al-Rai daily that the lower court had found the men guilty of stealing the two animals worth 200 dinars, beating the shepherd, and sentencing them to five years in prison.

One of the defendants distracted the shepherd by talking about the sheep and their characteristics while the other loaded the two animals into the car, according to the defendants in court.

For the value of the two sheep, the defendants agreed to pay 2,000 dinars, and the court did not punish them.
