Amnesty Decree Issued By The Council Of Ministers

A decree pardoning a number of people imposed a freedom-restricting penalty by a court was issued by Kuwait's Cabinet. In its statement, the cabinet outlined the “belief of the political leadership… (in) national reconciliation that brings good to the people of this nation,” labeling the decision “the opening of a bright new page.”

A key aim of the move is to ensure "stability," the document stated, emphasizing that Kuwait is more important through its children. In accordance with constitutional foundations, this step will foster productive cooperation between the executive and legislative authorities and remove all obstacles to development and achievement.

In addition, the ministers praised His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his "noble Amiri initiative" to pardon the individuals. His Highness the Amir issued this honorable pardon due to his pure will, firm determination, and sincere desire," said the cabinet.
