Amnesty Deadline May Be Extended

The Amnesty period has ended this afternoon and a decision for extension has not been announced. Dozens of residency violators, nevertheless, proceeded to break the curfew ban that forbids movement after 4pm, with the hope of taking advantage of the amnesty to return to their home country without paying fines and free travel tickets sponsored by Kuwait Government.

They were rounded up by security men who urged these violators to return to their homes and wait for a decision to extend the amnesty period or a new deadline may be announced after countries allow flights to come from Kuwait.
