Amiri Diwan Endorses Al-sabah Family Tree

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has circulated a letter from the Amiri Diwan to the ministers containing a list of persons who are not entitled to carry the title of ‘Sheikh’ – a member of the ruling family.

The circular comes in implementation of the Amiri order which was issued in May 2017 to recognize and arrange the Al-Sabah family tree and consider it ‘official Al-Sabah family tree’ and a reference for lineage.
