Amir Condemns Shooting In El Paso

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has cabled US President Donald Trump expressing heartfelt condolences on the shooting spree that took place in Dayton, Ohio.

The incident left a number of people dead or wounded. His Highness the Amir, in the cable to the US president, wished the wounded quick recovery, affirming the State of Kuwait strong condemnation of this criminal act that targeted innocent lives, in contradiction to human tenets and values.

Their Highnesses the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah and Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah respectively, addressed cables of identical content to the US President. According to media reports, a lone shooter killed nine people in Dayton, Ohio, early on Sunday, before being gunned down by police officers.

Hours earlier, an identical random shooting happened in El Paso, Texas, where a gunman killed at least 20 people in what was described as a “hate crime”.
