A Total Of 18,700 Buildings Are Vacant In Kuwait

According to the latest data available as of December 2023, Kuwait's real estate landscape reveals intriguing trends. With approximately 18,700 buildings sitting vacant, constituting nearly 8.6% of the nation's total building stock, there's a significant aspect of unused infrastructure in the country.

Throughout 2023, Kuwait experienced a notable uptick in its building inventory, marking a 1.4% increase. This growth saw the total number of buildings rise from 215,000 at the close of December 2022 to approximately 217,997 by December 2023, an expansion of around 3,000 buildings.

Residential properties dominate Kuwait's architectural landscape, comprising approximately 67.2% of the total building count. This translates to roughly 146,460 residential structures. Following closely behind are buildings serving both residential and commercial purposes, constituting about 15.9% of the total building inventory, totaling around 34,600 structures.
