A Soldier Was Shot By His Partner

As the second in command and minister of defense, Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah expressed condolences on the death of Kuwaiti serviceman killed by a colleague on Tuesday. The Ministry of Defense issued a statement condemning this regrettable act which contradicts the values of our conservative Islamic society.

The Minister called a meeting with the Military Security Directorate at the Army General Staff shortly after the incident to find out the details and circumstances of it. According to him, he will follow up personally on the investigations conducted by the Military Security Directorate and the competent authorities at the Ministry of Interior, in order to gain an understanding of the findings of the investigations and the details and motives behind the attack.

According to the statement, the Kuwaiti army lost one of its loyal sons. 

According to the Kuwaiti Army General Staff, a fellow serviceman shot and killed a serviceman, who was immediately referred to interrogation. A statement by the General Staff stated that competent investigators are continuing to investigate the incident, which occurred at Al-Mubarakiya camps.

Police have arrested and handed over the suspect to the competent authorities, according to a statement by the Ministry of Interior's Security Media Department. The incident is being investigated to determine its circumstances.
