A Kuwait-mumbai Flight Passenger Was Arrested For Smoking Inside The Plane

After landing at Mumbai airport, a 50-year-old Kuwait-Mumbai flight passenger was arrested for causing panic among the other passengers and crew. The accused, identified as Mohammed Shahid, boarded an Indigo flight from Kuwait on Tuesday, according to an Indian media report. During mid-flight, he went to the washroom and started smoking. Crew members noticed the smoke and asked him to stop.

As soon as the flight landed, he was booked under section 336 (Act endangering the life or personal safety of others) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Aircraft Act. According to the report, the accused was later released on bail.

A passenger told daily that he didn't know airplanes aren't allowed to smoke, according to the paper.
