475 Juveniles Arrested Within 3 Days For Driving Without License
The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior said 475 juveniles were arrested over a three-day period, Oct 20, 21 and 23, for driving without license.
This comes within efforts of the General Traffic Department and the operations and public security sectors of the Ministry of Interior to control outlaws and violators of traffic laws, and drawing the attention of citizens and residents to take care of their children and discourage them from driving without a license.
The GTD sources pointed out parents bear the responsibility because they will be charged with negligence if their children are caught driving without a license since they not only endanger the lives of other road users but also can serious harm to themselves and will be legally held accountable.
The GTD called on parents to cooperate with the security agencies and keep their children under their watchful eye and educate them about the dangers of driving vehicles without a driver’s license.
The residents and citizens are called upon to contact the emergency number (112) or WhatsApp 99324092 if they see anything unusual to protect lives and public and private property.
