According to Adel Al-Hasawi, the Acting Director-General of the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprise Development, more than 400 Kuwaiti projects will be attracted to the project within the next few months.

The first deputy prime minister and interior minister, Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Sabah, the head of the committee responsible for monitoring the execution of developmental projects, along with a number of ministers, parliamentarians and government officials, conducted an inspection round that included Al-Hasawi.

Among the four areas of Al-Saji island are Al-Bandera, Al-Safar, the Marina, and the Service Area, which is overseen by the fund, Al-Hasawi explained.

In addition to food trucks, booths, exhibition areas, and a large screen, the island will host a variety of types of enterprises.

A water taxi will be designated by the Marina to transport visitors to and from Ras Al-Salmiya and the island, along with touristic tours, while a parking lot, a gas station, and buses will be provided in the Service Area to ease visitor movement within the island, Al-Hasawi explained.

Registration for enterprises wishing to participate in this project will be announced soon, Al-Hasawi said, adding that applications will be accepted online.
