19 January 2023 Crime News

Kuwait's Central Bank has ordered all Kuwaiti banks and foreign banks to freeze deposits and reveal bank secrecy about five accounts of individuals, including three Kuwaitis and two Emiratis, as well as four companies, including a real estate, consulting, advertising, and marketing firm.

Al-Rai learned that the Public Prosecution had requested details of funds deposited in all local bank accounts of Emiratis, 3 real estate and consulting companies, and others under family names.

This decision also included any other securities deposited in those accounts or in investment funds. Between 2011 and 2012, the directive also required the disclosure of banking secrecy on the covered accounts for more than a year.
