26 Domestic Visa Holders Arrested For Violating Residency Law

Some 26 domestic visa holders from different nationalities were arrested by officers from the Residency Affairs Department for violating residency law and engaging in immoral activities. A statement issued by the Public Relations and Media Security Department indicated the sponsors of all 26 suspects had filed absconding reports against them prior to their arrest. Statement added officers of the Residency Affairs Department received information about the activities of some domestic visa holders who had absconded from their various sponsors to work in new houses for wages, and who were practicing immorality. Acting on information, the officers conducted relevant investigation to verify the report and necessary legal steps were taken to arrest the suspects. They were referred to concerned authorities for further investigation.
