200 Expats Arrested With Illegal Visas And A Covert Distillery
Multiple violations of the Residency and Work Law have been reported as residence detectives raided expats and a liquor factory in several areas, including Jleeb Al Shuyoukh, Khaitan, Fahaheel, Hawalli, Salmiya, and Farwaniya.
A thorough inspection campaign was conducted by the Ministry of Interior. These efforts led to the arrest of 200 expats who were found to be having invalid visas. Additionally, a local liquor factory operated by three expats was raided during these operations. In their possession, the authorities discovered a significant number of barrels and distillation and manufacturing tools. A legal action has been initiated, and the case has been referred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
