2 Expats Arrested For Possessing Drugs In 2 Different Casess

An unidentified expatriate has been arrested in possession of five kilograms of “Chemical” drug and a sensitive weighing scale. According to security sources, when the Drugs Control General Department (DCGD) received information about an expatriate’s involvement in drug peddling, a team was formed.

After conducting investigations, confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the suspect’s apartment was raided and the team confiscated five kilograms of “Chemical” drug and a sensitive weighing scale. The suspect was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for further investigations.

DCGD also arrested an Asian expatriate who attempted to smuggle drugs via a heavy vehicle through the land borders. A team from DCGD, after receiving information about an attempt to smuggle drugs via a border checkpoint, conducted investigations and took necessary legal measures. After the suspect arrived at the border checkpoint in a heavy vehicle, the heavy vehicle was inspected to find two kilograms of heroin and one kilogram of methamphetamine.

When questioned, the driver confessed that he was planning to deliver the drugs to an Arab resident in Kuwait. The second suspect was also arrested. Both suspects were referred with the confiscated drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
