17,000 Outstanding Performance Grievances Are Evaluated By Health

19 November 2023 Kuwait

The Ministry of Health concluded the acceptance of grievances regarding outstanding performance rewards on Saturday, having received about 17,000 submissions. The Ministry will now examine all grievances thoroughly, categorize them, and promptly forward them to the relevant committee for deliberation, according to reliable sources in the health sector. Grievances that failed to meet the specified criteria would not be considered.

To be eligible for submitting an outstanding performance grievance, the nominated employee's service period within the Ministry of Health must extend from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022. There are also two additional prerequisites: the nominee must not have incurred any disciplinary penalties in 2022, and he or she must not have taken more than 15 days of sick leave in that year (excluding hospitalization). In addition, the employee's actual working days during the calendar year should constitute at least 70% of the total.

Employees who work shifts are calculated in accordance with their schedules, while others are expected to adhere to a standard of 180 actual working days. Notably, the employee must hold a position on the general salary scale, and the computation of the actual work period excludes interruptions such as work suspensions, various types of leaves and sabbaticals, official holidays, breaks, and rest days, except for sick leave exclusively during hospital stays. It is the Ministry's goal to quickly address the outstanding grievances and take appropriate action.
