165 Vehicles Impounded, 29 Wanted Persons Arrested During The Weekly Campaign

In the past week, the General Traffic Department has conducted traffic campaigns on numerous roads and intersections. Monitoring traffic conditions, identifying lawbreakers, and addressing accident reports were all part of the initiatives designed to maintain a smooth flow of traffic. The weekly results revealed a total of 18,940 traffic violations, with 165 vehicles and bicycles impounded. In addition, 19 individuals were confined for precautionary reasons, and 29 wanted persons were arrested, ranging from absence to criminal and civil offenses. Also, 55 vehicles were seized.

Two individuals with abnormal conditions were identified, 14 were apprehended for expired residency, and 11 were detained without proper documentation. These cases were handed over to relevant authorities for necessary legal action. In addition, one person was referred to the General Administration for Drug Control, and another to the Environmental Police, all between 12/2/2023 and 12/8/2023.
