160 Expats Were Arrested In A Residence Affairs Clampdown
As part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing crackdown on violators, there has been a robust crackdown on arrests.
A total of 160 expats were arrested due to the relentless efforts of the Residence Investigation Department. This includes 15 street vendors, 5 individuals caught with 120 bottles of alcohol, 5 violators operating an unlicensed bakery, and two individuals connected to counterfeit servants’ offices.
As part of the General Administration of Residence Affairs Investigations, the Search and Investigation Department and the Tripartite Committee Department conducted intensive inspection campaigns throughout the Farwaniya Governorate, Salwa, Fahaheel, and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Additionally, a surprise operation was carried out at the fish market in the Sharq region. Over 160 people were apprehended during these operations, including 15 street vendors, 24 car washers, 5 individuals caught with 120 bottles of homemade wine, and 5 violators involved in an unlicensed bakery located within a building in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh neighborhood. Two individuals linked to fraudulent servants’ offices were also apprehended.
We are taking legal action against these violators, who will be referred to the competent authorities for further action.
