118 Expats Arrested Following Residence Affairs Investigations

As part of the Ministry of Interior's commitment to apprehend individuals who violate residency and work regulations, 118 expats from various nationalities have been successfully arrested under the Residency and Work Law by the General Administration of Residence Affairs Investigations. These arrests took place in the regions of Farwaniya, Salmiya, Brayeh Salem, and Mahboula. Notably, among those apprehended were 22 expats engaged in the sale of food supplies.

An unlicensed makeshift market along the Seventh Ring Road was the focus of enforcement actions by the Public Authority for Manpower. Numerous violations were recorded, affecting both workers and street vendors. Additionally, food items that were displayed in this location were confiscated in preparation for their disposal by the Kuwait Municipality.

Residents and workers who violate residency and work regulations are currently undergoing legal proceedings and will be subject to action by the appropriate authorities.
