71,161 Accidents Took Place In 2017
Annual statistics issued by the General Directorate of the General Traffic Department shows 71,161 accidents took place in 2017, as a result of which 428 victims died, 177 of them Kuwaitis, 21 bedoun, 16 citizens from the GCC countries and 214 people of various nationalities, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The statistics also showed Hawalli topped the list with 19,697 accidents, the Capital governorate came in second place with 17,851 accidents, Farwaniya third with 12,216; Ahmadi fourth with 11,044; the Mubarak Al-Kabir fifth with 5,784 accidents and Jahra came in the 6th place with 4,569 accidents.
