Within 10 Days, Pam Will Issue Work Permits

According to the Public Authority for Manpower, steps are being taken in conjunction with the relevant authorities to speed up the process for obtaining work permits for foreign workers, which would now take three months instead of a maximum of 10 days.

The sources informed a local Arabic newspaper that there is a proposal with a new mechanism that would work in conjunction with the Health Insurance Hospitals Company Daman, which would then coordinate with approved hospitals within the labor-exporting countries to reduce the labour examination period to 4 days only (two days for examination outside the country and the same after arrival), and then finish the rest of the other procedures, noting that "the period taken to issue a work permit currently takes four days."
