Trio Arrested For Attempt To Smuggle Drugs Into Country
An Arab woman was arrested at T1 terminal of Kuwait International Airport in possession of hashish pieces. A member of Media Committee at General Customs Administration Nawaf Al-Matar explained that customs officers at T1 terminal suspected an Arab woman who arrived from her home country. They checked her luggage thoroughly and found pieces of hashish.
Also, customs officers at T4 terminal suspected a female passenger who arrived from a European country and manually searched her luggage to find five plastic containers filled with a liquid that is suspected to an intoxicant. Furthermore, customs officers at T5 terminal arrested an Arab passenger who had a piece of hashish in his pocket.
In addition, customs officers at T5 terminal suspected an Indian passenger and searched his luggage but did not find anything. They searched his body and found four pills, which they suspect to be a drug, inside his shoes. Al-Matar affirmed that all suspects have been referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Director of Air Customs Department Mutlaq Al-Enezi praised the dedication and alertness of the customs officers as well as their readiness to arrest those who attempt to smuggle drugs into the country.
