Traffic Crackdown In Salmiya
Officers from Ministry of Interior issued 186 citations and checked the documents of 970 individuals during a security campaign they launched in Salmiya area.
According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the campaign was held under the supervision of Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Sulaiman Al-Fahad and with the participation of high-ranking officers.
The General Department of Public Relations and Media Security explained that the campaign began with distribution of police force in all roads of the area including all entry and exit roads. A number of individuals were arrested including two in possession of drugs, six in possession of alcohol, 20 wanted for enforcement of judicial sentences, 25 who were reported as absconding, 73 without any identification documents, 45 with expired residencies and 14 violators of residency law.
In addition, 49 traffic citations were issued. The department affirmed that such campaigns will be held in all governorates with the participation of all security sectors. It urged all Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to cooperate with securitymen and avoid giving shelter to any violators of law.
