To Boost Economic Recovery Uae Resumes Issuing Entry Permits

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship in the Emirates announced today the resumption of work regarding the issuance of various visas, except for work permits.

The authority said, in a press statement today reported by the Emirates News Agency, that the resumption of entry permits issuance comes within the framework of easing restrictions and strengthening the state’s efforts towards supporting recovery plans and support for growth in conjunction with enabling the work system based on achieving a vital balance between preventive measures and measures on the one hand. On the other hand, the return of the tourist and economic climate and the various developmental aspects.

The authority indicated that the decision came in response to the current data represented in the package of precautionary measures and travel mechanisms taken by the air transport sector, in addition to applying various practices aimed at limiting the consequences of the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

It is noteworthy that the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship had issued a decision last March to temporarily suspend the issuance of all visas, except for diplomatic passport holders, out of the responsibility that the United Arab Emirates has towards the international community and its efforts to combat the spread of this pandemic.
