The Ports Exempt Health From Customs Duties For Masks And Protective Clothing
The Director General of the Kuwait Ports Corporation, Sheikh Yusuf Al-Abdullah, issued a circular regarding customs duties such as floors, delivery permission fees, and others related to shipments of surgical masks and protective clothing.
The circular included the work to speed up the release of shipments of the Ministry of Health-related to confronting the repercussions of the spread of the new Coronavirus (19 – COVID) represented in the shipments of surgical masks and protective clothing, received by the Ministry from Austria and Beijing with exemption from Fees of all kinds.
The circular indicated that in the event of mandatory fees that cannot be exempted, and that they are collected from the temporary fund to receive cash contributions to support the government’s efforts to confront the emerging corona virus. He called on all concerned sectors and departments, companies and relevant authorities to work on implementing this circular from its date, and informs whoever is required to implement it.
