The Killing Of Stray Dogs And Cats Continues Unabated
While numerous warnings against killing stray animals have been issued recently, instead of sterilizing them and preventing births, the country continues with its "organized killing campaign" by poisoning them and leaving them to their fate in a most inhumane way. After ingesting poison, a poisoned cat may suffer for up to four days before finally dying.
Reports a local Arabic daily suggest there has been an increase in stray cats and dogs being poisoned to death, especially by animal rights activists.
In the past few days, animal activists have noted a significant increase in the number of stray cats dying near the Friday market as well as the Al-Rai area.
In this study, they acknowledged the dangers associated with leaving stray dogs in the streets, and they stressed the importance of dealing with them in a reasonable manner, such as sterilizing, and then either offering them for adoption, or putting them in temporary shelters so that they don't harm the community.
In addition to killing dogs, they claimed that the organized chaos used to deal with stray dogs has now turned into killing stray animals, and this has caused birds to die as well. We harm the environment, biological diversity, and innate diversity by killing stray animals and birds.
The senators pointed out that the people who put poison into food are workers for pesticide companies, calling for legal action against companies associated with the pesticide industry, and urging the government to establish regulations and laws to prevent the deaths of animals and environmental damage.
In an online campaign, activists urged the establishment of animal shelters and the protection of animals. They emphasized the urgent need to activate and implement the law immediately to prevent those who own pets from abandoning them because it is hard to identify them.
Pet owners are blamed for the proliferation of stray dogs and cats because they abandon them after raising them for a period on the streets for some reason.
