The Justice Ministry And Banks Will Establish An Automatic Link

An electronic link between the Ministry of Justice and banks was discussed with the Central Bank of Kuwait and banks. According to sources in a local Arabic media, the concerned officials highlighted that "the targeted link includes notifications of bank reservations and disclosure of bank secrecy regarding customers which are pending cases," explaining that this will ensure that the judgments against these customers are implemented and activated as quickly as possible.

A number of sources commented that the Ministry of Justice and the banks were in agreement in principle regarding the importance of setting up an automatic communication channel between the two entities so that the banks can get first-hand information on all decisions made in this regard, as well as seizure orders, in a timely manner, thereby helping to expedite judicial decisions.

Despite agreement on some banking-sensitive issues, such as ensuring the confidentiality of business information of all banks, as the available data will be encrypted, no specific decisions have been made regarding activating the targeted link, as the data will be encrypted.
