The Decision To Return To School Fully Is Still Pending; All Options Are Considered
The Ministry of Education has not yet decided whether students will be able to return to school in full during the second semester, which begins on March 6, 2022.
However, well-informed education sources told Al-Anba that students, their parents, and those working in the field of education are awaiting the ministry's final decision, noting that the ministry carefully considers all options with the relevant authorities before deciding whether to go for a complete return or the two-group pattern.
According to ministry sources, all ministry sectors have increased their efforts to clear the path for students and teachers and provide the best ways for a safe start for the second semester, noting that a number of officials, whether at the level of educational districts or the ministry, have inspected a number of schools in various regions to assess their readiness to receive students and teachers for the second semester.
Female Kuwaiti security officers working at Farwaniya Educational District schools, on the other hand, have petitioned the Minister of Education, Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf, and his Deputy, Dr. Ali Al-Yacoub, to intercede and relieve their suffering because they have not been paid since June. They told the daily that they are hoping for a solution from the ministry's senior officials because they had tried in vain for a long time.
"Our services were terminated after the specialist company's file was halted, and therefore the guard contract, which was signed in 2017, came to an end," they continued.
They stated that their labor support had also been terminated, putting them in a difficult financial position, not to mention debts and loans, especially since their number is 160, and we were paid 200 dinars per month, and they deducted 50 dinars from us without our knowledge, despite the fact that the contract stipulated a salary of 250 dinars.
