Tent Market Witnesses Hectic Activity
The tent market in Kuwait is witnessing hectic activity as the traditional camping season is just around the corner set to begin in mid-January, reports Al-Rai daily.
The market is offering for sale of types of tents and the prices vary according to their sizes and materials and method of manufacture including tents which are new and second-hand. In the midst of all this as the Kuwaitis enjoy their life in the mainland with mild air and low temperatures the Kuwait Municipality is determined to keep at bay commercial camps which were rented to citizens and residents during earlier camping seasons.
Deputy Director General of Kuwait Municipality for Hawalli and Ahmadi Governorates, Chairman of the Spring Camps Committee, Eng. Fahad Al-Shatili told Al-Rai that some people had in the previous seasons rented their camps for business purposes (exhibitions, concerts, and as mini-game cities, etc), at high prices, stressing that in such cases the Municipal teams in cooperation with the Environment Public Authority and the Ministry of Interior will remove the camp immediately and the owner will have to bear the cost of removal
