Student Run Over And Dies Instantly
Shai Nawaf Shai Al-Mutairi, a student from Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Secondary School in the Farwaniya Educational District died yesterday morning in a run-over accident while on his way to school.
According to educational sources, the student was dropped off by the driver on the street opposite Al-Shaddadiya University. While crossing the street, he was struck by a passing car whose driver, an expatriate, was unable to control the vehicle. The driver has been detained pending further investigation.
Muhammad Al-Ajmi, the director of the Farwaniya Educational District, was present at the school since early morning to oversee the situation and provide support.
The Ministry of Education expressed deep sorrow and condolences through its website, stating: “The Minister of Education and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, and the entire educational family mourn the loss of Shai Nawaf Shai Al-Mutairi from Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Secondary School.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased during this difficult time. We ask Allah to grant Shai Nawaf Shai Al-Mutairi mercy and to provide his family with strength and comfort. (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return).”
