Specialized Medical Teams Remove Two Tumors At Mubarak Hospital

A medical team at the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital successfully performed a complex surgery on a Canadian patient who is believed to be in his forties and suffering from hepatocellular carcinoma and a tumor in the right side of the colon.

A consultant in general and colorectal surgery at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Dr. Abdullah Al-Haddad said this surgical operation is an achievement for Mubarak Hospital and the Ministry of Health, and was performed using a surgical endoscope. He added, the patient’s health condition is stable.

The Al-Jarida daily quoting the hospital sources said the surgery, which lasted about 4 hours, was carried out by two teams – specialized in the colon and rectum diseases and the other in liver complications.
