Smuggling Of Drugs From Neighboring Country Is Thwarted By The Coast Guard

An attempt to smuggle drugs into Kuwait by sea was foiled by the General Directorate of Coast Guard.

The Maritime Security Administration received information regarding the presence of prohibited substances at the bottom of the sea coming from a neighboring country.

Security authorities monitored the area via radar and ambushed the suspect's cruise boat after it had gone to the site where the contraband was found.

Authorities have taken possession of 49 suspected narcotics and a GPS tracking device seized from the suspect.
