The Court of Appeals has ordered a real estate company accused of fraud to pay a Kuwaiti woman the sum of KD 26,000, value of a villa in Georgia, and also pay KD 5,000 in compensation for damages incurred by the plaintiff.

The case file indicated the real estate company and the citizen signed an investment agreement on a residential unit in Georgia, stipulating the company would cancel the agreement and the other party would not object in case the buyer is unable to fulfill the agreement, and the company keeps 30 percent of the value of the agreement to compensate the profit lost in the process.

Representing the citizen, Attorney Abdul-Mohsin Al-Qattan implored the court to discard the case filed against his client and cancel the agreement, because the company has failed to deliver as per the agreement especially as his client has already paid the full value of KD 26000 under the agreement while the company fell short of fulfilling its side of the deal on time.
