Ramadan Is Predicted To Be 30 Days Of Fasting This Year By Al Marzouq

19 March 2022 Ramadan

Adel Al-Marzouq, an astronomer, predicted there would be no Crescent of Shawwal on May 1 since it sets 17 minutes before sunset and that Ramadan next year will consist of 30 days, and the first day of Eid Al-Fitr next May will be the second of May.

A local Arabic daily has reported that Al-Marzouq said the start of Ramadan for the year 1443 will be Saturday, corresponding to April 2, 2022, if the vision is proven to be legitimate and the data shown to be accurate.

From sunrise to sunset, the first day of Ramadan will have a length of time of approximately 13:30 hours. He added that the first day of Ramadan will include a fasting period of 14:53 hours.

As reported by Al-Marzouq, it seems likely that Ramadan this year will complete its iddat, meaning thirty days. As Shawwal starts on Saturday, April 30, 2022 11: 28:44 pm, which stipulates that no initiation is permitted after sunset, the thirtieth day of Ramadan will fall on the first Sunday of May, 2022, and Eid al-Fitr will begin in Shawwal on Monday, May 2, 2022.
