Public Prosecution Charged Kuwaiti Woman With Stealing Money Invested In Real-estate Projects

Misdemeanor Court of Appeals upheld the verdict issued by the lower court which acquitted a Kuwaiti woman who was accused of swindling money from her colleagues by convincing them to invest in fake real estate projects outside Kuwait.

The Public Prosecution had charged the woman with the stealing money invested in real-estate projects. According to the testimonies of the victims, the suspect had called them and persuaded them to buy plots overseas for large sums of money.

During the court session, the defense counsel Lawyer Ina’am Haidar said her client has been denying the allegations since the start of the investigations, stressing that there are no real evidences to prove the allegations against her client. She also reminded that the factors of swindling crime are absent in the case.
