Protecting Public Property National Responsibility: Governor Al-khaled
Capital Governor Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, during an inspection tour of the Naqa’a Al-Shamlan, has stressed on the concerned authorities not to tolerate any security, environmental or health violations and other abuses, and added, “we will not tolerate any violators and we are determined to put an end to all undesired practices, whatever the challenges.”
Al-Khaled was speaking after a joint campaign to Arabic daily Al Rai which was organized in cooperation with several government agencies. He added, “The national responsibility requires us to protect public property,” and pointed out that the campaign aims to stop what he called “these accumulated abuses and encroachments.”
He explained the Naqa’at Al-Shamlan is one of the vital sites along the Kuwaiti coastline due to its proximity to the Capital City, and called on the concerned authorities to intensify inspection campaigns not only at Naqa’at Al-Shamlan but other waterfronts in cooperation and coordination with the concerned government agencies and proposed patrolling the areas 24/7.
He added, “We have formed a mini-committee which is part of the coordination committee that the governorate meets periodically to discuss the problems facing Naqa’a and proposes urgent and long-term solutions.
