Price Of Big Shrimps Basket At Sharq Market Reaches Kd85

The price of a basket of big shrimps at Sharq Market recently reached KD85 while the price per kilo ranges from KD4 to K5 amid the discontent over the unjustified high prices compared to neighboring countries, reports Al-Anba daily. While touring the fish market, the daily’s staff noticed the absence of Norwegian salmon and this is due to shipment delays and the approaching Christmas season; indicating the price per kilo increased to KD4 in December, in addition to the scarcity of local fish and those imported from Turkey, Egypt and Pakistan.
