Municipality Issued 26 Citations For Various Violations Uncovered In Shops And Restaurants
Kuwait Municipality issued 26 citations for various violations uncovered in shops and restaurants in Hawally Governorate, inspected four houses for installation of electricity meters and removed 49 advertisement boards in Ahmadi Governorate. In a press statement, the Public Relations General Department in the Municipality disclosed the Emergency Team in Hawally branch launched a campaign targeting shops and restaurants in the governorate.
Team leader Riyad Al-Rabee’e affirmed the continuation of these campaigns in the morning and afternoon. He went on to say that the campaign resulted in the issuance of 26 citations for different violations including eight for employing workers without obtaining health certificates, eight for employing workers before getting health certificates, three for transporting foodstuff through unlicensed means of transportation, and two for using premises outside the building in addition to violating public sanitation regulations.
The department also revealed that shift C of the Emergency Team in Ahmadi branch carried out similar campaigns targeting shops and advertisements. The team inspected four houses for the installation of electricity meters, removed 49 advertisements, and issued 18 citations for operating shops without health license, expired health license and putting advertisements without renewing the license. The department urged citizens and expatriates to contact the Municipality through hotline number 1844448, its website or social media account @kuwmunin in case they have complaints.
