Municipality Health Teams Continue Field Tours To Limit Covid-19 Spread
The teams from the Health Requirements Committee in the Kuwait Municipality in the six governorates continued their field tours on Wednesday, to ensure the implementation of health requirements to limit the spread of the COVID-19, in implementation of the decisions and directives of the Council of Ministers, and issued a number of violations.
The head of the Farwaniya Governorate inspection team, Fahad Al- Muwaziri, told KUNA that there are eight teams dedicated to Farwaniya Governorate working round the clock in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, explaining that inspection tours are currently focused on commercial complexes, parallel markets, shops and salons. Al-Muwaizri indicated that the strict application of health requirements aims to limit the further spread of the Coronavirus and maintain the stability of the health situation in the country.
Pandemic
For his part, the Director of the Audit and Follow-up Department, head of the supervisory team of the Health Committee in Ahmadi Governorate, Saad Al-Harbi, said in a similar statement to KUNA that the supervisory teams have not stopped their work since the emergence of the pandemic, but they have reduced their rounds during the last period in which the local epidemiological situation stabilized.
Al-Harbi explained that with the increase in cases of infection, two teams began to be reconstituted to conduct inspection tours in various areas of the Ahmadi Governorate, to the parallel commercial complexes and markets, pointing to the negligence of some, particularly in not wearing masks and crowding, as 47 warnings were issued and 28 violations were issued, all due to not wearing the mask. In turn, Head of the Violations Removal Department, Head of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Inspection Team, Majid Al-Mutairi told KUNA that the governorate’s municipality has intensified its campaigns in implementation of the recent decisions of the Council of Ministers, indicating that the monitoring teams continue to work on a daily basis to follow up the implementation of health procedures.
