Municipal Council To Discuss Allocation Of Site For New Airport In North Of Kuwait

The Municipal Committee Council of the Jahra Governorate will discuss today, Monday, the issue of allocating a site for the construction of a new airport in the northern region, which is part of proposals of the fourth structural plan for the State of Kuwait.

Al-Qabas has learned the committee headed by the member Eng Hammoud Al-Enezi said the proposal to get rid of the traffic lights and turn them into roundabouts was also on the agenda for discussion in addition to discuss the request of the Ministry of Social Affairs to add a storage facility within the site designated for the Red Crescent Society in the Amghara Industrial Area, and the executive body’s response to allocating land south of Qairawan to the Public Authority for Housing Welfare to build private housing.

On the other hand, the Environmental Affairs Committee was also to hold a meeting to discuss the issue of obliging car wash centers to recycle water, allocating places for dead animals, using the underground garbage bins technology in new housing cities, sorting garbage inside and outside commercial complexes, and conducting an electronic questionnaire to measure citizens’ satisfaction about the level of cleanliness in the country.

The committee will discuss a proposal regarding the recycling of gray water in mosques, schools and public buildings, banning the use of water-filled balloons and water pistols during national holidays, and removing neglected and dilapidated boats along the coastal strip, especially in the northern Doha region.
