MP Al-Mudhaf Proposes Urgent Measures To Tackle Rising Prices Of Essential Goods And Services
In response to the surging costs of essential goods and services, Member of Parliament Abdullah Al-Mudhaf has taken proactive steps by submitting a proposal that calls for immediate intervention. Al-Mudhaf addresses the pervasive issue of soaring prices across various categories, including basic goods, building materials, consumer products, and services such as domestic workers, nursery and private school fees, home maintenance, and communication services. His concern is rooted in the artificial inflation adversely affecting both citizens and residents.
The proposed solution, driven by a sincere desire to combat this phenomenon, urges relevant ministries, agencies, and government institutions overseeing service providers and sales outlets to take swift and decisive action. Al-Mudhaf emphasizes the recent unjustifiable surge in prices, highlighting its inconsistency with the overall economic situation of the country and the global pricing of comparable goods and services.
The key component of the proposed solution involves establishing an emergency team empowered to address the artificial inflation of goods or services. Notably, the team members would be granted the status of judicial police officers, equipped with the authority to implement deterrent measures outlined in regulating laws. This includes the ability to compile police reports and submit them to the appropriate authorities for further action. Al-Mudhaf's proposal aims to tackle the pressing issue of escalating prices and ensure a fair and regulated economic environment for the well-being of the nation's residents.
