Most Beautiful Legs Gets 2 Years In Jail
The Criminal Court has sentenced a Kuwaiti accused to two years imprisonment and fined him 300 dinars for violating public morals by organizing the ‘Most Beautiful Female Legs’ beauty contest on his Snapchat account, reports Al-Rai daily. Although the man said it was just a joke, it did not absolve him of guilt and punishment.
The Public Prosecution had previously released the defendant on 500 dinars bail, after he was detained for six days pending investigation into two charges – breaching public morals and incitement to immorality and information technology crimes.
The accused had earlier denied the accusations saying the clip was meant only for entertainment and that it was meant only for his followers and not for public.
Meanwhile, two brothers have filed complaints against each other at a local police station, reports Al- Rai daily. Both are accusing each other of exchanging insults, threats and beating.
The incident happened at the home of their parents when both of them happened to go at the same time. According to what they told police there has been bad blood between them for several years due to disputes in the family. Both men have been referred for interrogation.
